The SIM (as mentioned above) is an application on the UICC – previously the UICC was called SIM card, because this was the only application available on the smart card. The SIM card supplied in the module is pre-paid for three years, and remote communication is via Bluetooth or the mobile phone network. It can take some time (depending on modem and board around 30 seconds) to fully initialize it, so make sure you test your modem. This SIM card has 52% smaller size than the size of a normal SIM card. failed: The SMS Command could not be sent. If the modem responds with error, either the modem does not support SMS text mode, or the SIM card is not ready.
